HONOR has officially teased key details of its upcoming Magic 8 series, confirming that the flagship lineup will feature some of the largest batteries ever seen in a mainstream smartphone. According to a new teaser shared by the company on Chinese social media platform Weibo, the Honor Magic 8 Pro will be equipped with a 7,200mAh battery, while the standard Magic 8 will pack a 7,000mAh cell.
AI-enhanced connectivity and power efficiency
HONOR also drew attention to a new AI-powered OTA (Over-the-Air) coverage system that promises to make the signal better and save power. The company says this improvement offers the widest OTA coverage in the industry, while also making the network more stable and reducing power usage by about 13%.
Design, performance, and camera specifications
Leaked information suggests the HONOR Magic 8 will have a slim 7.9mm-thin body and weigh about 205 grams, even with its large battery. It is expected to support fast charging with 90W wired charging and 80W wireless charging, so users can charge the phone quickly.
On the camera side, the Magic 8 is rumored to have a triple rear camera system: a 50MP main sensor, a 200MP telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide sensor. The front camera is expected to be a 50MP selfie camera. For the display, it could feature a 6.58-inch flat OLED screen with 1.5K resolution.
Meanwhile, the HONOR Magic 8 Pro is said to have a slightly thicker 8.3mm body and weigh 219 grams, leading to an even larger 7,200mAh battery. It will likely support 120W wired fast charging and 80W wireless fast charging. The Pro variant is also expected to feature a 6.71-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and an identical 50MP front camera.
Both models are rumored to run MagicOS 10, which is based on Android 16. They will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.

HONOR is scheduled to unveil the Magic 8 series in China on October 15. Furthermore, the industry analysts also predict a global launch in early 2026.
