Ever since AMD launched its mobile processor earlier which turned out to be great at a lower price, PC makers have started to offer AMD options on their devices as well. This means that even though they come with Intel CPUs, you can get an AMD CPU as well. Similarly, HP Omen 15 also has an option to configure the laptop with an AMD CPU instead of Intel.

HP Omen 15 can be configured with up to an Intel Core i7 10th generation or an AMD Ryzen 7 4800H CPU which can be powerful than the Core i7 in many scenarios. As for the storage, you can go up to a maximum of 32GB RAM and 1TB storage for both the Intel and the AMD versions which will give you a clear idea of which CPU performs better side-by-side.

As for the display, since it is a gaming laptop, HP OMEN 15 comes with a 15.6-inch IPS LCD display at 1080p resolution with either 144Hz or 30000Hz refresh rate. There is also an option for 120Hz IPS LCD or OLED panel and you get Nvidia G-SYNC support too. Talking about the price, HP Omen 15 is launched at $999 for both the Intel and AMD options and is already available from Best Buy in the US.
