All set to launch on September 7, the Huawei Mate XT 2 is in the limelight thanks to the teaser videos launched ahead of the launch. Well, this is a major upgrade, as we will dig through the color options, storage configurations, and potential specs that the upcoming tri-foldable phone brings to the table.
Huawei Mate XT 2 video teasers leave no stone unturned
Talking about its much-awaited appearance, the Huawei Mate XT 2 features in this video, showing how it is the epitome of a tri-fold phone. Switching from a Z-shaped fold to a U-shaped fold, Mate XT 2 looks more stunning than ever. Perhaps the U-shaped fold can now safeguard its flexible AMOLED panel from elements, unlike the predecessors, where it was quite exposed.
Available in three colorways—Pure White, Dark Black, and Jin Purple—all three colorways offer either white or gold-colored edges and bezels that make it more premium than ever. The octagonal rear camera bump sits right at the center. Simply open the left half and then the right one to showcase its ginormous flexible inner display that can easily defeat even the best of tablets out there in terms of quality and performance.
Huawei Mate XT 2 storage options revealed
Well, Mate XT 2 will be sold in multiple trims. For starters, the 16GB+512GB is the entry-level model, followed by 16GB+1TB, which also has a privacy matte display variant. Finally, we have the largest 16GB+2TB variant flanked by a stylus that ensures you never run out of space whatsoever.
Huawei Mate XT 2 specs at a glance (rumored)
With just a week remaining for its launch, we already have a leaked list of specs the Mate XT 2 will bring on-board. We have a Kirin 9050 Pro SoC under the hood, trumping the Kirin 9020 that was released on Mate XTs.
The battery capacity is expected to be around 6,000mAh, plus there will be a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary plus 50MP periscope and a 40MP ultrawide snapper. The hinge design on board is such that it will reduce the display crease.
The Huawei Mate XT 2 launches officially on September 7 in China. The pre-orders have already opened, which you can check out here.
