Huawei has launched Honor 9i with the first ever quad cameras in India. When we dig deep into the specs, we can find out that it is a refined variant of Maimang 6, they launched in China last month.

They also launched another identical smartphone in Malaysia, named as Nova 2i. Comes in Platinum Gold, Navy Blue, and Midnight Black, Honor 9i bears some launch offers, which the company will reveal on the release date.

Following the flock, Honor has included a 5.9-inch full HD+ (with a resolution of 1080×2160) 18:9 FullView display on the 9i with smaller bezels.

The main highlight of the smartphone is the quad cameras it features. On the back, it bears a 16 MP sensor coupled with another 2 MP depth sensor on the dual camera setup. The secondary sensor helps us achieve bokeh effects so that we can capture good portrait pictures. Up front, it sports a camera with a 13 MP sensor and a 2 MP sensor with a white soft light to help you capture good selfies in low lighting conditions.

Other unique features include the gesture support (S for long screen shot, double tap with one finger for screenshots, and double tap with two fingers for screen recording). Huawei says they have used Histen audio system on the device to algorithmically enhance the sound output. The company is also promoting the Bluetooth AptX support.

Honor 9i has a metal unibody design with the fingerprint scanner placed below the rear dual camera setup. The near bezel-less display gives more screen real estate than on their previous phones. Underneath the hood, it sports a 2.36 GHz Kirin 659 processor coupled with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage. Running on EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.1 Nougat, 9i bears a 3340 mAh battery.
