Oppo R5 had opened the doors for sleek phones. It had already paved a difficult path in terms of design expectations for Oppo R7. But, Oppo R5 had to forego a few features so that it could maintain its sleek view. So, did R7 maintain the sleek view? Let’s have a look.
Design & Display
This is considered important for all the smartphones that have been driven to the digital world in the present times. The R7 is slender, but it is not as sleek as its predecessor R5. It measures about 6.3mm and has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The front and rear parts of the phone own a metal material frame. It sports a 2.5D glass panel and a 5″ display which manages a 1080p resolution. It is not really thick and strong, but it does not come across as a slender phone either. It is elegant in the way it appears from the outside. Lightweight plastic case and a well built phone structures its appearance in the best possible way.
Display is another important feature of any phone. The phone comes with a full HD AMOLED display and comes with a gorilla glass 3 panel. The display works best for all gaming and video viewing purposes. All the prominent viewing angles work great for this phone.
Performance
A phone is best reviewed when you have a complete understanding of how it performs. Most phones in recent times have come up with software optimization techniques. This phone is powered by a Qualcomm 615 processor and is coupled with a 3 GB RAM. It also features a Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with a color OS. The apps take a bit longer to load than usual phones, but when used on a day-to-day basis, you won’t feel the load. The phone’s battery seems pretty powerful, as you are able to charge 70% of the phone in 30 minutes
Camera
Oppo Smartphones are generally known for their camera and its resolution. Oppo R7 does not really disappoint in this quarter either. The front facing camera is an 8MP shooter camera which makes you snap excellent selfies. The photos taken in low lights are also processed beautifully on this camera.
Software
The phone comes with the Color OS 2.1. This may not perform at par with other phone OS.But, there are pretty nifty features available with this OS, which makes it kind of good for you.
Remarks
Overall, the phone seems to be a decent addition to Oppo Series. You get excellent features and specifications with this phone. There’s a bottleneck in the performance aspect, as the apps get loaded slowly, but that too will be rectified in sometime. Overall it is a decent phone!
