These days people are attracting towards mobile gaming. Statistically speaking mobile gaming has increased its market to a very large scale. According to Statista, a renowned brand for statistics and all, mobile gaming is to going to increase by almost 10-15 %  by the end of 2021 if we compare it to 201-18. And brands like Asus and Xiaomi are already participating in it by their gaming phone segments i.e., ROG and Shark series respectively. And recently we got a piece of news regarding Lenovo that they are also going to announce their new gaming phone segment, the Legion Gaming Phone series.

If you don’t know, Lenovo owns the Legion laptop segment especially devoted to gaming only. The Lenovo Gaming Laptop gives a nose to nose competition to all the gaming laptops present in the market like Asus ROG, Acer Predator, etc.

Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone

This news regarding Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone has come from none other than the Chinese network Weibo, which is famous for leaking news for the tech industry.

As Asus has the ROG mobile series which is taken from their ROG(Republic of Gamers) laptop/PC gaming, in the same way, Lenovo is taking their Legion gaming series to mobile gaming by the name Legion Gaming Phone.

So far, under the Legion brand, we have got gaming laptops, gaming desktops, gaming accessories, and gaming monitors. And now we will see gaming phones too. Lenovo teased the poster of the Legion Gaming Phone in Weibo.

As we can see that the poster show the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 with the 5G logo. This clears the doubt that the device will obviously be packed with the latest Snapdragon 865 SoC with 5G support.

What we can expect?

If we recall the features of the latest Gaming Phone from the Asus i.e., ROG Phone II, we have a beautiful unibody design, a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and 10-bit HDR support. The gaming-focused Snapdragon 855+ SoC paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage which works on UFS 3.0 technology. It is also equipped with the famous ultrasonic pressure-sensitive “Air Trigger” buttons specially designed for the better gaming experience.

If Lenovo is gonna compete with these kinds of the device which is already booming the market then it is pretty sure Lenovo has to do something out of the box with their Legion Gaming Phone. We can expect a good design phone as if the user uses its phone as a daily driver then the design plays a vital role too. After that a good display maybe Super AMOLED with 120 or 144 Hz refresh rate will do the job. As the teaser confirms the Snapdragon 865 SoC, performance will not be an issue of Legion Gaming Phone.

And the most important thing after the performance is the battery backup, as ROG Phone II has a 6000 mAh battery with 30-watt fast charging support, Lenovo has to do something similar or better than it to compete with ROG. Asus has one more advantage because of its one of the best gaming accessories.

There is a lot of expectations from users to Lenovo and Lenovo has a greatly great competition ahead. Let’s hope for the best see what’s coming from Lenovo with Legion Gaming Phone.
