During the last Lenovo event, we expected the smartphone maker to announce the first triple-camera smartphone, Lenovo Z5s. But to a surprise, we saw the incoming of Lenovo Z5 Pro GT with added speed and 12GB RAM and yes, the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset. Well, its performance has been gauged in the latest Geekbench scores although with a lower 6GB RAM model.

The Geekbench listing for upcoming Lenovo Z5 Pro GT stats that the device runs on Android 9 OS with a ‘msmnile’ motherboard which is actually a code-name for Snapdragon 855. Further, we know that there are 8 cores with a base frequency of 1.78 GHz and finally, 6GB of RAM. But wait, don’t you think so Lenovo announced the phone with a 12GB RAM variant?

As of now, the brand tested the Lenovo L78032 with SDM 855 and 6GB of RAM showing a total single-core score of 3284 and multi-core score of 10237 which is still higher than the predecessors like SDM710 that both Z5s and Z5 Pro pulled off. We also knew that Lenovo is planning to launch the Z5 Pro GT with RAM options varying from 8GB to 12GB then from where did this 6GB RAM model come from?

The answer is simple. The company is still conducting its internal tests and it is quite possible that it has opted to test the performance on a lower memory tier in spite of having RAM variants between 8GB to 12GB.  But the teased launch date is nearing since Lenovo stated that pre-orders for Lenovo Z5 GT Pro will begin on January 15 with market launch scheduled for next week i.e. January 24.

As for the specs, you already know that the device has an octa-core SDM 855 SoC with 6/8/12RAM and 128/256GB internal storage as per a GSMArena report. Further, it sports a 6.4” Super AMOLED display similar to Lenovo Z5 Pro along with a 16+8MP selfie snapper camouflaged under an artistically accurate sliding mechanism while the back will have a 16+24MP secondary sensor attached to a back clad in a glass with carbon-imitating embossing with red accents running through the edges and rims denoting how Lenovo wishes it to be phone with ‘speed’.
