LG G5 Officially launched in India with LG Friends
New Delhi: LG has finally launched their new latest flagship device in India, the G5. The LG G5 is priced at Rs.52,999 and is exclusively available on Flipkart. LG G5, as we already know, is one of it’s kind with the modular design which enables attaching different modules such as LG Friends that include: LG Cam Plus module, LG 360 Cam and LG 360 VR.
The LG G5 was originally announced at MWC 2016, with a 2,800mAh battery, Qualcomm Snapragron 820 chipset, a 4GB RAM and 5.3-inch 1440 x 2560 Quad HD IPS Quantum display and in a fun and playful mood launch event. The following are the device details from the same launch.
Design
As talked earlier, LG with it’s new G5, decided to shake their design overall. The phone, unlike LG G4, comes in an all-metal unibody design and rounded edges. Well, remain on your seats, the LG G5 still retains support for removable battery and microSD expansion! Yet if that wasn’t sufficing, there’s more of functionality and features packed in with LG’s new Magic Slot (extends possibilities by supporting the new modules). Read more
Display
This year, LG goes more short-hands friendly, bringing the LG G5 with a 5.3 inch QHD screen. However, the main feature of this panel is the always on feature, LG makes a small part of the display light up forever, also promising significantly optimal usage of battery. LG promises 0.8% battery usage per hour (at max) from the always on display, quite impressive!
Software
It’s quite evident now that Lg has been mirroring it’s equivalent, Samsung. Coming in directly with Android Marshmallow, the LG G5 is good to eye, being less colourful and even more closer to stock. But, here’s something so different about the LG G5, the LG UI on this phone doesn’t sport an app drawer, if you like to have all the icons over your home screen, you’ll be happy with this change. But on the off chance, you aren’t satisfied, get a third party launcher! Read more
