We have already given you one disappointing news regarding Microsoft last week regarding one of their upcoming products named Surface Neo. This was supposed to be a foldable tablet/laptop from them which was to be launched later this year.
However, Coronavirus and production delays due to it have meant that the release date of this product has been pushed back. But it also seems like the product might not have been in the priority list for the company. Because a new report reveals that Microsoft’s next Surface Go has just been listed on FCC which is the US certification site.
As far as the FCC listing is concerned, Windows Latest reports that a “portable computing device” has passed the FCC and it was listed by Microsoft. Microsoft’s Surface Pro devices were already released late last year and they are due to be upgraded later this year. So the only portable device that remains in Microsoft’s lineup is the Surface Go.
It means Microsoft will upgrade the Surface Go two years after its initial launch. Another report from a blogger Dan Charlton reveals European listings of “Surface Project V” supposedly the Surface Go 2 and “Surface Project U” which might be the Surface Book 3.
Talking about the Microsoft Surface Go 2, it is said that no extraordinary changes are expected in terms of design. This means that we will have a 10-inch display along with a familiar design as seen on other Surface devices. However, we do hope to see smaller bezels this time around to place it better against Apple’s iPad Air rather than the entry-level iPad.
Reports also mention that the device will still have the entry-level variant with Intel Core m3 processor as well as a low-end Pentium Gold processor will also be there. After that, we will have the usual Core i5 and the Core i7 processor variants with Intel 10th generation chips presumably. It is also reported that the device will have an LTE version for better connectivity.
