Motorola has been silent from some time now in the Indian markets but it is also understood that because of the Coronavirus pandemic, there would be production delays. But now that we are somewhat recovering from the shock of the pandemic and getting back on track while still fighting the virus, Motorola has launched its new smartphone in the Indian market. This phone is the latest in Motorola’s G series of budget phones which is the Moto G9. Also impressive is the price at which Motorola has launched its Moto G9 smartphone because the phone starts at Rs. 11,499 only.

As far as the Moto G9 is concerned, it comes with three cameras at the back along with a flash module kept side-by-side to make the module square-shaped which is similar to the back of Huawei Mate 40 Pro. On the front, we have the usual teardrop design and larger chin with significant side bezels as well. So we can say that the device is nowhere close to edge-to-edge design. Inside the phone, you get an 11nm-based Snapdragon 662 processor powering the 6.5-inch HD+ display along with a 20:9 aspect ratio.

The device houses an 8MP selfie camera at the front and 48MP primary camera at the back along with a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP depth sensor. Motorola has packed a large 5000 mAh non-removable battery inside the device which should last well over a day considering the 720p display and less power-hungry chipset.

As for charging the device, it can be done via the phone’s USB Type-C port at a speed of 20W which is not the fastest but fast nonetheless. The device comes in a 4/64GB RAM/ROM option which is quite decent considering the price of Rs. 11,499 which is approximately $154 when converted to the US Dollars. It is believed that the Motorola Moto G9 will be launched soon in other markets as well.

For the Indian consumers, this device will go on sale from August 31 on Flipkart.com and it will be made available in Sapphire Blue and Forest Green colour options.
