After a streak of leaks and speculations, Motorola has unveiled its flagship Motorola Edge+ a few days back. Today, Motorola has launched its entry-level smartphone Moto G8 Power Lite in India. The device will go on sale by the end of this month on Flipkart. This budget offering from Motorola competes against the current budget offerings like Redmi 8A and recently launched Realme Narzo 10A.

The USP of this smartphone is the battery. The device comes packed with a whopping 5000 mAh battery which according to the company will go up to 3 days on a single charge. The device comes with a tear-drop notch and Max Vision HD+ display. According to Motorola India, the device comes with a water-repellent design that keeps the phone protected from inside and out. The back of the device, as one would expect, is not made of glass but comes with a gradient design pattern.

The triple rear camera setup is found on the top left corner on the back of the device. The arrangement itself looks catchy as the primary and depth sensor are found together along with the flash whereas the macro sensor stands separately on the top forming an ‘i’ shaped camera. Talking about the macro camera, Motorola claims that it can go 4x closer to the subject and can focus on the finest details. Towards the center, we get to see a good old rear-facing fingerprint sensor with Motorola branding.

Other features of the device also include Moto Actions where users can use simple gestures like twist to open the camera, double-tap to wake or put the device to sleep, and everyone’s favorite chop twice to activate or turn on the flash. The device is only released in one variant with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage. Motorola also tossed in the MicroSD slot with support up to 256 GB.
