Nothing Phone (1) or Nothing Phone 1 just made a bang on its launch with limited availability and it received huge acclaim. Well, if you can’t or don’t want to get your hands on a Nothing Phone, you can check out the “Something” line of skins available from dBrand available for Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, Google Pixel 6 Pro, and Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max.
It is obvious that dBrand is using guerilla marketing in order to take a dig at Nothing’s latest offering with a transparent back panel which has become the talk of the town. dBrand made it obvious that they made ”something” from “Nothing” while tagging Carl Pei’s company as well. dBrand added that they stole nothing and it is using something called plagiarism which is simply how you use an industrial design and creatively reimagine it for other brands.

dBrand used a marketing strategy called guerrilla marketing in order to lure flagship users to get their Nothing Phone (1) like skins. You can buy it for the iPhone 13 Pro Max, Pixel 6 Pro, and Galaxy S22 Ultra at the moment, however, dBrand could add more.
Brands like dBrand use such marketing techniques to gain momentum on the internet such as it released custom PlayStation 5 faceplates only to stop after Sony sent out a cease-and-desist letter. But that didn’t stop the maker from pulling off another attempt which is when it released a new version called “Darkplates” expecting no legal actions from the juggernaut.
As Engadget puts it, it is likely that Nothing co-founder Carl Pei could be involved in dBrand’s stunt given the fact that he is known to pull off such strategies that make OnePlus what it is apart from the obvious product itself. Not to mention, a custom typeface like Nothing’s cannot be used by an external company without permission.
You can check out the new Nothing Phone 1 skins on your smartphones from dBrand at $24.95. Check out dBrand’s website right here.
