Oneplus Landed In India With The Initiative “MAKE IN INDIA”

Hello everyone… Do you know Narendra Modiji?

I  think so all know  him from his excellent  work  few  months ago He encouraged the international   technology companies to start their  production  plant  in  India.  Many companies including  Asus  accepted  that.

Few days back Oneplus was teasing about “#NextBigStep”. Oneplus revealed that thing of  “#NextBigStep” it is the big step of the company to set up their factory in India. As India is most trending market in the world. For this Oneplus has partnered with Foxconn and settled in Andra Pradesh in 30,000 sq. ft of area. According to Oneplus the production will start by the end of this year. The plant will have 1000 full time workers with high-tech robots. The plant will pack maximum of 500,000 units of Oneplus’ smartphones per month. We think that’s enough for the local demand of Oneplus smartphones. Till now Oneplus has sold 250,000 units of our beloved OnePlus One and 15,000 units of OnePlus Two. We think the next smartphone from the Oneplus Mobility will be Made In India and this step will affect the pricing of their smartphones.

Today is a big day for us. Producing smartphones in India is one of the most important decisions that we have made so far at OnePlus, and we are thankful to the Government of Andhra Pradesh and Foxconn for helping us make this happen. India being one of our biggest markets worldwide, we are committed to a long term sustainable growth path. This move will strengthen our presence and help us step up momentum in India

Ever since OnePlus debuted in India, we have been deluged with requests for invites to buy our products, with more than 5 million registrations worldwide for our latest release – the OnePlus 2 – alone!

With the best of our intentions of fastening up the availability process, we have been constrained by a few supply chain related challenges in meeting consumer demands. The local production will help to address this issue and better cater to the fast growing demands for OnePlus products in India

This was sayings by the Pete Lau, Founder and CEO, OnePlus and Vikas Agarwal, General Manager – India, OnePlus respectively.
