OnePlus is all set to launch the latest smartphones in their lineup next month and we have reported a OnePlus 8 series launch likely in April. Also, it is being said that the launch could take place on April 14 to be precise but there has been no official confirmation from the company regarding the launch date. One thing to note is that the launch will take place online-only so it is unlikely to be delayed. However, that also depends on the supply chain and the situation all over the world.
But we now have a new report regarding OnePlus and its plans for the OnePlus 8 series, the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, to be precise. Popular and renowned leaker Ishan Agarwal has just revealed the complete specifications of the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.
According to the leak, it seems that the major changes are coming to the OnePlus 8 Pro while the OnePlus 8 seems to be a spec-bump from the OnePlus 7T. Because the OnePlus 8 is still expected to have a 90Hz refresh rate display along with FHD+ resolution whereas the OnePlus 8 Pro will have 120Hz QHD+ AMOLED panel. Both these devices will have Snapdragon 865 processor and 5G support that comes along with it though.
Exclusive: They're coming! Here is the full specification list of the #OnePlus8 & 8 Pro. Seems like #OnePlus8Pro is gonna be a beast with 6.78" 120hz QHD+ Display and 48+48+8+5MP Camera Setup. Will have 30W Wireless Charging & IP68 Rating too. I'm so excited! #OnePlus8Series pic.twitter.com/j1AAo19q4J

Also, the OnePlus 8 Pro will have dual 48MP sensors while the OnePlus 8 will only have a single 48MP sensor like the OnePlus 7T. Also, we expected the OnePlus 8 series to finally get wireless charging and official IP rating this year.
Well, there is some disappointment in this department as well because only the OnePlus 8 Pro is likely to get IP68 rating as well as 30W wireless charging. The OnePlus 8 is unlikely to get any of these features and quite frankly, they might be reserved for the OnePlus 8T coming later this year.

Coming back to the OnePlus 8 Pro, there seems to be a new color variant called the “seafoam green”. It is quite clearly an attempt from OnePlus to replicate the midnight green variant of the iPhone 11 Pro series but this green color variant from OnePlus has a lighter shade.
Apart from that, we will see an Infinity-O display cutout on the devices and the removal of a pop-up selfie camera. As for the price, there are reports that OnePlus’ pricing for its OnePlus 8 series will increase due to the 5G support as well as the display.
Also, the wireless charging and official IP rating could increase the price up a bit. Some estimates suggest that the OnePlus 8 series could start at $650 or even $700 and go up to $900 mark this year.
