It took just 22 days for OnePlus to sell more than one million units of its newly released OnePlus 6. It is a device that captured the attention of millions thanks to its exciting performance-dominating specifications and a stunning dual-camera setup. Looking at the naming trend, the brand is going to launch OnePlus 6T just like it did with the previous-gen OnePlus 5.

Some concept render images of the device has already appeared online meaning that OnePlus will actually unveil the successor to OnePlus 6 by the end of this year similar to how OnePlus did with OnePlus 3 and 3T, OnePlus 5 and 5T.

Since most of the brands are now launching devices without any bezels at all, OnePlus might go for the same approach with their upcoming smartphone. If you’re not aware, the recently launched OnePlus 6 comes with a narrow notch on the front and thin chin at the bottom.

As per the render images, the device will have a full-screen display with absolutely little bezel across its sides. And guess what, OnePlus will introduce a motorized camera module similar to what Vivo and Oppo did with their Find X and NEX smartphones recently.  If you’re not aware,  Vivo, Oppo, and OnePlus are actually owned by the same Chinese company ‘BBK Electronics’ meaning a motorized camera can come and that too with the 6T.

In addition, the device will boost an aluminum frame with a glass back and probably a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 or 6 protection that will make it resistant to multiple drops and falls. On the specifications front, OnePlus 6T is expected to be launched with somewhat similar specifications to the OnePlus 6. It will sport a 6.28-inch FHD+ Optic AMOLED display with a 6GB and 8GB RAM option. It will be powered by one of the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processors. Although it might be launched with Android 8.1 Oreo-based on OxygenOS.

OnePlus 6T is estimated to hit the market sometime in November this year. At that moment, Android P would have already been released as a stable version. There is a very high chance that the 6T will come with Android P out-of-the-box.

In terms of optics, it will sport a 16MP dual-camera setup in the rear while the motorized front camera with 16MP sensor. The OnePlus 6, on the other hand,  has a 16M + 20 MP rear dual-camera setup with f/1.7, 1.22µm, OIS and f/1.7, 1.0µm pixel size respectively.

The leaked renders only give us a basic idea about the upcoming OnePlus 6T. Although, there are several other rumors and speculation that have been making a round on the internet. For instance, this time the brand will integrate wireless charging into the device which OnePlus 6 lacked.

OnePlus 6 wasn’t an ingress protection certified device although it has rubber seals and gaskets in the internal assembly that allows it to stay splash-proof, however, the OnePlus 6T will have an IP67 or IP68 water protection which gives a peace of mind to those who are too clumsy or those who had backed out from OnePlus 6 because of the lack of waterproof certifications. It is speculated that OnePlus 6T will have at least 4,000 mAh battery than the  3,300mAh battery in OnePlus 6.

Since this is the first leak of the device, you should take everything with a pinch of salt. We’re expecting more leaks and rumors to pop up soon.
