Smartphones have really revolutionised ever since the time they have come into existence. Whether it has been Android, Apple, Micromax, Samsung; the notch keeps rising higher to provide mobiles that are appealing to users.

The OnePlus2 (abbreviated as OP2) has been designed by the Chinese upstart- OnePlus. This model is expected to not only be faster than its predecessor, but is also expected to be ‘slightly’ larger as well! The handset is predicted to carry a 5.7-inch display similar to that of the Galaxy Note 4; as per a source that is familiar with OnePlus’ plans.

A Chinese technology tipster, who goes by the name of ‘KJuma’, has already posted a ‘spy sketch’ of the OnePlus2 on the Chinese micro blogging network, Weibo. Although the sketch does not reveal much, it is the closest source of information regarding the form of this smartphone. However, KJuma claims that the display of the smartphone would measure between 5.5 and 5.7 inches diagonally.

However, it is very unclear as the resolution that the display will package. However, with the larger size the OnePlus2 has a better chance at competing with other smartphones such as the Galaxy Note 4. At the same time, it could also fail to appeal to those customers who DO NOT like their smartphones to be ‘too’ large!

If the OnePlus could employ an “edge-to-edge” display and ensure that the bezels around it were as narrow as possible; the actual size of the handsets chassis may not even have to increase that much! The edge-to-edge display is one where the manufacturers place a glass/plastic surface on the LCD; so as to make the edge of the LCD and the LCD (itself) feel as if they are one piece. So, it wouldn’t even matter if the display would even be 0.2 inches larger; the OnePlus2 would be around the same size!

KJuma further added that while the OnePlus2 would look very similar to the OnePlus1; there would be many subtle design changes. Some of these would include twice as many holes for the speaker and a thinner form factor that could measure as little as 5mm to 6mm.

OnePlus has also revealed that its next device, would be powered by, Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 810 processor. This would be one of the first Android-powered smartphones to employ the USB-C technology. However, the device will only get its ‘official’ unveiling in virtual reality on July 27th.
