After the successful response of the Oppo F7, the smartphone maker is all set to introduce its successor. Oppo F7 was launched way back in the month of March. The brand’s F-series smartphone focusses on the selfies at the mid-budget segment. The next-gen F-series smartphone will be dubbed as Oppo F9 and Oppo F9 Pro.

Both the smartphone will make its way to the market in the month of August. If you’re not aware, Oppo F7 came with a notch on the front and a 25MP rear camera with AI support. The smartphone comes with a premium design, larger display and when it comes to performance it was quite impressive and stable.

Recently, an alleged teaser from the brand surfaced online which reads “Coming Soon F9”. The teaser shows a dual camera setup at the back which is horizontally aligned along with an LED flash. One of the key upgrades will be the presence of the dual cameras. As mentioned before, Oppo F9 is going to be a selfie-centric smartphone so expect an upgrade to the front-facing shooter.

Apart from the teaser, both the smartphone appeared on the FCC listing getting a Bluetooth certification. In the image below, you can see three different model number CPH 1823, CPH 1825, and CPH 1881 which got the certification on July 18 and comes with Bluetooth 4.2. The model CPH1825 and CPH1881 are the different storage variants of Oppo F9 while the CPH1823 can be either Oppo F9 Pro or Oppo F9.

Coming to the specifications, we don’t have any rock-solid information as of now. All the model number shares the same Bluetooth Module with Oppo F7, Oppo F7 Youth, Oppo R15, and Realme 1. This means that the device is most likely to be powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 chipset (MT 6771). This is just a speculation and it should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Speaking of availability, Oppo F7 did make its way to the international market after the launch in the home country. We’re expecting the same thing to happen with the upcoming Oppo F9. The plus variant, on the other hand, might be available only in the selected markets. One thing which the FCC listing suggests is that the device will be coming very soon meaning more leaks and rumors are going to come forward in the future.
