Earlier today, Realme announced that it will be unveiling the world’s fastest charging technology at the Mobile World Congress 2022 on February 28. Although it did mention the world’s fastest, it didn’t give any information on the actual wattage that it will use to charge the phones. Turns out it could go up to 200W.

A leaked image shows an unreleased Realme charging brick with a 20V/10A or 200W charging support which is almost 3-fold to what Realme is offering commercially at the time of writing this. The image shows a brick with model code VCK8HACH supporting Power Delivery up to 45W.

Realme teased that it will be releasing the world’s fastest smartphone charging technology at MWC 2022. This gave to many assumptions such as how Realme could use Oppo’s 160W rebranded as a 150W charging tech. Apart from that, Realme is already working on 80W charging tech as well. However, since Relame says world’s fastest, an 80W or 150W technology couldn’t be cut since we already have a commercially available 165W charging tech with Nubia Red Magic 7 Pro.

Xiaomi’s 200W charging technology was able to charge a custom-made Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro’s 4000mAh battery in just 15 minutes. However, it isn’t commercially available yet. This means Realme’s expected 200W fast charging tech could become a commercially available tech although that remains to be seen.

Watch out for Realme at MWC 2022 on February 28 for Realme GT2 Pro as well as its world’s fastest charging technology.
