Red Magic released the Shadow Blade 2 Gamepad in China in November, alongside the Red Magic 9 series smartphones. With the global introduction of the Red Magic 9 Pro, the company has expanded the Shadow Blade 2 Gamepad’s availability to areas outside China.
Red Magic Shadow Blade 2 Features
The Red Magic Shadow Blade 2 gamepad’s front features ALPS, left stick, cross buttons, screenshot key, Red Magic button, ALPS right stick, ABX key, and RT key. At the back, hall linear triggers provide 256 layers of change and a response interval of less than 0.1mm. The brand says that these triggers are versatile, smooth, and easy to regulate thanks to their own unique IC algorithm.
The Red Magic Shadow Blade 2 Gamepad has a Type-C port, which provides minimal latency while gaming. Notably, it features an improved grip design with two customised rear triggers. The Type-C port is flexible and can accommodate smartphone heights that vary from 110 to 185mm, representing a 3.3% increase over the previous iteration and providing compatibility with a wide range of smartphones. Gamers can use the charging port on the gamepad to charge their devices while playing. Finally, the controller features removable left and right gamepad shells.
