It has been just a day since Samsung Galaxy Z Flip has gone on sale after its epic launch on February 11 in San Francisco. Turns out the phone is selling fast and will go out of stock in a couple of hours unless Samsung replenishes the stock on its US website and other storefronts.
According to Android Authority, the second-gen foldable phone is already out of stock on Samsung’s US website and the same goes for Best Buy. Even the physical stores where Samsung Galaxy Z Flip was available is running low of the stock. Both unlocked and AT&T versions are selling faster than ever with a bit of availability when it comes to the units with Sprint.
Samsung opened the first batch of almost 900 devices on sale in South Korea at local carrier LG U Plus and turns out the phone went out of stock in the first 30 minutes of the sale. Anticipating this, Samsung released its first batch of 20,000 units which is nearly 10 times greater than what the first-gen Galaxy Fold was available with.
Anyways, Samsung is expected to restock units at both online and physical stores. Interested buyers can still wait for Samsung’s websites to take orders and expect delivery by February 18.
There are a couple of reasons why Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is a hot-selling smartphone. First up, it is priced at just $1,379 which is a sweet spot for flagship smartphones (at least a few) and it is still a lot cheaper than Galaxy Fold’s $2,000 price tag. Moreover, the phone has a tall screen that folds into half like a clamshell which is a major USP since it is portable and thus, it has managed to get surprising numbers when it comes to orders worldwide.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is available with Samsung’s website, AT&T and Sprint in the United States. It is also selling in physical carrier stores that you can check out in your country.
