Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 5G Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 5G brings onboard better design elements, improved durability, S Pen support, and a few more things here and there. The device is 3.1mm shorter than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 but brings the aspect ratio to 23:9 from the original 24.5:9. About the thickness, we have a 6.3mm vs 15.8mm when the phone is unfolded vs folded which is a minimal but existent improvement from 6.4mm vs 16mm in the last-gen foldable device.

The phone has a 7.6” diagonally with a 6:5 aspect ratio. Samsung is using a Dynamic LTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz adaptive rate and has 1,000 nits of typical brightness. Luckily, Samsung has improved upon the under-the-display camera tech which means it isn’t just higher in terms of pixel density but less visible. In fact, people will not gauge it at the very first glance for sure. If you are wondering if the crease still exists or not, well, it does although it is less evident given the fact that we are already several generations into the foldable devices.

The cover display onboard is covered by a Gorilla Glass Victus+ similar to the Flip4. We have tested the device for its water resistance which is promised at IPX8 and it does prove the same for sure.

If you are willing to own a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 5G, camera tech is perhaps the only major upgrade of this generation. We are seeing a 50MP primary module at the back borrowed straight from S22/S22+. It is capable of capturing 23% more light and with EIS and OIS support, the shots are pretty good.

We have a 10MP telephoto snapper at the back strapped with 3x optical zoom flanked along with a 12MP ultrawide snapper that gives you a much higher point of view (PoV). There’s a 10MP cover front camera onboard as well.

Moving on, Samsung has integrated the powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC along with 12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB of internal storage although the latter is available through Samsung.com and in some regions. The phone gets Android 12-powered OneUI 4.1 on top just as its Flip sibling.

Next up about the battery backup, we have a 4,400mAh battery (again, there’s no change when compared to the last gen) strapped with the same 25W fast charging tech. So yes, it will still take almost an hour to charge it to the full capacity or you can use its 15W wireless charging and wait a little more to get the battery filled.

Samsung has made the Galaxy Z Fold4 5G better in terms of multitasking. It now has a PC-like taskbar where you can access recent apps, favorite apps, and a few more things here and there. As usual, the two sides of the phone allow you to use two full-screen apps side-by-side without any hassle. Dive into the Flex Mode to get using the foldable phone as a laptop or a video call station and a lot more.
