Samsung has announced its Neo QLED, micro-LED, and lifestyle TV display panels were unveiled at a pre-CES 2021 virtual event on Wednesday. The new portfolio is aimed to offer greater TV-viewing encounters with enhanced contrast and improved backlighting, together with offering next-generation accessibility through attributes such as Sign Language Zoom along with Multi-Output Audio. Together with the new Neo QLED and MicroLED TVs, Samsung introduced its brand new The Frame TV which is thinner than the previous versions and is intended to offer you a more customisable experience to consumers.
As for the Neo QLED is designed for upcoming 8K and 4K TVs from the company and the 88-inch, 99-inch, and 110-inch MicroLED panels are designed for the TVs that will be targeted towards the general consumers. The Neo QLED panels is based on the mini-LED backlighting technology that boasts smaller LED that features light on a smaller area. The panel is furnished with up to 40 times smaller LEDs than that of conventional LEDs with full-array back-lighting. Loading more LEDs in a smaller area makes it possible for the display panel to offer precise backlighting control, improved HDR, higher contrast, and better brightness.
The Neo QLED panel is equipped with the Neo Quantum Processor for the AI upscaling with 16 neural networks to bump up the image quality to the native resolution of the panel. The Neo QLED panel is built for Samsung’s QN900A 8K and QN90A 4K models. The new TVs featuring Neo QLED panels will offer the features like super-slim bezels, 21:9 and 32:9 aspect ratios and a new audio system with object tracking and partial optimization, and more. TVs with MicroLED panels are only aimed at business since they are very expensive. This year the South Korean giant will launch standard TVs with MicroLED panels for consumers.
These new TVs include 24 million individually-controlled micrometre-sized LED lights to supply an improved backlighting. There’s also a Monolith Layout that’s aimed to deliver over 99 per cent screen-to-body ratio. The TVs come equipped with a 4Vue attribute to allow you to watch up to four distinct content resources at the same time. Further, there’s a Majestic Sound to supply 5.1 channel sound output, without needing an outside speaker.Samsung last month revealed its commercial 110-inch microLED TV that surfaced after some exceptional versions such as ‘The Wall’ using a MicroLED screen and has been restricted to the South Korean industry. On the other hand, the coming of the brand new TVs imply that the organization is now aiming to expand its own MicroLED improvements to the worldwide TV markets.
Samsung’s 2021 portfolio also takes its lifestyle TV class to new levels using a new variant of the Frame. This is half-thinner in comparison to previous models, fitting the thickness of a conventional picture frame. Additionally, there are new attachable bezel choices in five distinct color options and two distinct customisable styles. Samsung also has updated its Art Store out of where consumers may get over 1,400 curated bits to place on the idle display of this Frame TV. Samsung hasn’t yet revealed the prices of these 2021 smart TVs. But given the features and the technologies utilized, the Neo QLED TVs are most likely to be priced like the company’s present QLED TVs. The brand new MicroLED TVs as well as The Frame, on the other hand, are anticipated to be accessible with a few premium cost tags.
