Samsung sold more than 2 million units of Samsung Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J8

Samsung rolled out its Samsung Galaxy J6 on May 22 and then, Samsung Galaxy J8 on June 28, both in the mid-segment range. According to Samsung India, the Korean tech giant sold over 2 million units of both Galaxy J6 and Galaxy J8 and has accounted for sales of more than 50,000 smartphones units a day. On achieving this auspicious event, Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President at Samsung India said: “Our philosophy of keeping our ears to the ground and incorporating consumer feedback into our products has paid off”.

Samsung introduced a Chat-over-Video feature developed by Noida-based Samsung R&D on all its Infinity Display received an overwhelming response and the tech giant estimate that more than 50 percent of the consumers use the Chat-over-Video feature on a regular basis. The feature enables the user talk on video while chatting by texting messages on the app using a transparent keyboard on the AMOLED Infinity Display that both the device sport.

Samsung Galaxy J6 (2018) sports a 5.6” 720 x 1480 pixels with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Galaxy J6 is available in 32GB, 3GB RAM and a 64GB, 4GB RAM variants at a price tag of Rs. 13,990 and Rs. 15,990 respectively with an Exynos 7870 Octa chipset. Samsung Galaxy J8 (2018) sports a 6.0” 720 x 1480 pixels Infinity Display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 which has a single variant of 4GB RAM and 64GB Internal storage along with a Snapdragon 450 processor and comes at a price tag of Rs. 18,990.

The sales figure to state that Samsung shipped around 9.9 million smartphones in India in Q2 of 2018 with a 50 percent growth rate annually with the best ever sales figures Q4 of 2015. Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro scored the best selling smartphone in the second quarter of 2018 selling more than 2.3 million units in India.
