Folks at SamMobile intercepted a Geekbench listing under the model number ‘Samsung SM-T545’. The said device is a tablet probably belong to the Galaxy Tab A family or it could be a Galaxy Tab Active Pro that made a cameo earlier as well.
The device bearing model number SM-T545 reportedly sports 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage and runs with Android 9.0 Pie onboard along with Samsung’s OneUI 1.1 although the latter part isn’t specified in the said listing. It will be the first tablet and the second device from Samsung to sport Snapdragon 710 SoC after Samsung Galaxy A8s available in China and South Korea.
Furthermore, the tablet gets a Geekbench score of 929 points on single-core and 4,450 points on a multi-core test. Other information includes an 8-core processor i.e. Snapdragon 710 with a base frequency of 1.71 GHz. As the report mentions, SM-T545 could be an LTE model wherein SM-T540 (not listed) could be a Wi-Fi only variant of the upcoming tab.
Interestingly, this is not the only tablet or phone that Samsung is currently working on. Its upcoming Galaxy Tab A is touted to sport Snapdragon 429 chipset along with 32GB of internal storage, 2GB of RAM, and Android Pie 9.0 out-of-the-box. It has a number of variants i.e SM-T295, SM-T295C, SM-T295N, SM-T297 as hinted by previous reports and will support LTE connectivity while a final SM-T920 variant of Galaxy Tab A will have Wi-Fi only connectivity.
Fast forward to August, we have Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series if we keep the timeline the tech giant follows for its Note series releases. Then we have Galaxy Tab 5S tablet that will sport Snapdragon 855 processor with Android Pie 9.0 out-of-the-box while it will undoubtedly receive Android Q 10 early next year as well similar to the Note 10 series. Samsung Galaxy Tab S5 will also bring Wi-Fi only and LTE only models under the model number SM-T860 and SM-T865 respectively while featuring S-Pen stylus support integrated with it. Finally, we have Samsung Galaxy Fold speculated to arrive in August as well after facing a plethora of issues citing its hinge and the foldable display failure and more.
