The second half of 2017 will witness a number of flagship smartphone launches and the next one in the line is the Galaxy Note 8. Much has been talked about the device and we know almost everything about it. In a new leak, some of the sharpest photos of the Galaxy Note 8 have surfaced, giving us a look at how the phone would actually be.

From the images, it appears to be a dummy device with a physical wallpaper placed on the screen area. The images were posted on Weibo, which has been the source of multiple such leaks. While the images are quite sharp, the sides of the phone aren’t quite easily visible. But the front and rear can be seen sporting the same design and features that we all have been talking about for long.

Infinity Display was a prominent feature of the Galaxy S8 series and it will be taken forward to the Note 8 as well. The front of the phone in one of the images can be seen sporting a large curved display with minimum bezels all around. The ‘Samsung Galaxy Note 8’ branding can be seen at the bottom of the phone, which is normally seen on dummy phones.

Coming to the back of the phone, it is a familiar sight as the recently leaked press renders also showed this design. The horizontal placement of the dual cameras on the back can be seen. They are accompanied by the LED flash and the heart rate monitor, with the fingerprint scanner sitting next to it. Samsung branding can be seen on the back as well.

Overall, the dummy units look legitimate and being just a week away from the official launch, they ought to be. These images are in line with what we have already known about the Galaxy Note 8 for long. Now that the launch is so close, we expect more confirmed details coming in. The official launch of the phone is scheduled for August 23rd.
