Get ready to witness the second exciting month in this quarter after October i.e December when a lot of things are going to appear and launch. Mark the date of December when Vivo is estimated to launch it’s new flagship smartphone Vivo NEX 2 after taking the world by storm by launching a phone with slider selfie camera a few months ago. Vivo launched the Vivo NEX in July and soon after, Oppo released Oppo Find X that shifted the complete camera assembly in a sliding mechanism. Things got a little exciting last month when Nubia showcased Nubia X with a dual-display setup thereby eliminating front cameras altogether and it seems like Vivo could join Nubia too.

As per the real photos that recently appeared on Chinese social media website Weibo, the Vivo NEX 2 will carry a full-fledged edge-to-edge front display with no front camera and a very thin chin. At the back, the phone will carry a small secondary display showcasing almost every capability of the primary display along with a triple-camera setup at the back arranged in a horizontally placed camera-setup with flash.

Having a twin-display setup eliminates the need to have front-cameras since rear cameras are powerful enough to take enticing images and since the phone has a secondary display at the back, it would be a piece of cake taking photos using rear camera which helps save massive screen estate at the front that would otherwise be used by some kind of notch or a tall display both of which are getting out of fashion.

The images posted don’t declare any information about the NEX 2 but per the sources, Vivo could launch the smartphone on December 4 which is coincidentally the same day when Qualcomm will launch it’s latest 7nm Snapdragon 8150 SoC. This loosely means that Vivo might not be able to harness the power of SDM8150 in the next flagship smartphone and thus, we will be stuck with SDM845 which is currently the top-most processor available till now.

The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.59” AMOLED display at the front with a 16:9 aspect ratio screen at the back with three cameras set up at the top. It will also carry a humongous 8GB RAM and a plenty of built-in storage capable of storing all your music and movies without any glitch. So, what do you think about this process at par with Vivo which is a part of BBK Electronics group that also owns OnePlus and Oppo? Let us know your opinions in the comments below.
