The long-rumoured Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S just appeared on the benchmarking app AnTuTu and it reveals a score that is the best we’ve seen till date. As it can be seen in the image, the phone scored 270,461 points on AnTuTu! On the contrary, most of the current Android flagships hover around the mark of 180,000 points, while the newer iPhones have marginally crossed the 200,000 points mark.

Ice universe posted the screenshot of the AnTuTu test on their Twitter account that reveals this piece of information. The device name mentioned on the result page is Polaris which, according to a previous leak, is the codename given to the Mi MIX 2S. The phone scored high in both the individual CPU and GPU tests and that is only possible with a processor none other than the Snapdragon 845.

As per some of the previously leaked images, the Mi MIX 2S will have a notch on the top of the display like the iPhone X does. Both the MIX smartphones launched until now had a bezel-less top while there would be a thicker chin to house the front camera. The camera position has been a point of concern and the option to flip the phone upside down to take selfies isn’t as intuitive. That is probably the reason, Xiaomi has considered switching its approach of a bezel-less smartphone.

For the usual specifications, the phone would come running a Snapdragon 845 processor with 6GB of RAM. It will have a display in 19.5:9 aspect ratio, similar to the iPhone X, instead of the more traditional 18:9. Mi MIX 2S is expected to get dual rear cameras this time around.

Xiaomi was expected to launch the Mi 7 at MWC 2018, but recent reports have confirmed otherwise. They also revealed that Xiaomi might reveal the Mi MIX 2S in February itself before the MWC starts. The company has scheduled an event in India for February 14 and we expect the company to launch a budget-oriented smartphone – either the Redmi 5 series or the Redmi Note 5.
