After the huge success of Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi seems to be ready to launch its successor, Redmi Note 5. Redmi Note 5 has been lurking around the news for quite a while now and recently we got to see some of the leaked images.
The live images were shared by a Weibo user, the images show us a smartphone with a metallic grey body and yes what’s a phone with bezels nowadays, the Redmi Note 5 also seems to be bezel-less. The bezel-less display will give a display aspect ratio of 18:9 as seen on the Mi Mix 2.
On the back side of the smartphone are dual cameras with a flash below it and a fingerprint scanner, the camera setup is similar to that of the Honor 6X. The Redmi Note 5 is rumoured to feature 16MP + 5MP dual rear camera sensors. The Note 5 will be powered by the Snapdragon 630 chipset, although some new leaks suggest that it’ll be running the Snapdragon 660 chipset.
Xiaomi will be releasing the Note 5 in various variants with 3GB RAM or 4GB Ram and up to 64GB internal storage. Some leaks also claim that the device might be priced around at 999 Yuan which approximately converts to around Rs. 10,000 for three 3GB RAM version and the 4GB Ram version will be priced at around 1700 Yuan which converts to around Rs.17,000.
The device will pack in a huge battery of 4000mAh. This is the first time we are seeing Xiaomi trying out the bezel-less design on a mid-budget smartphone, let’s see how it turns out to be. Any thoughts? Do let us know down in the comments.
