With the Nokia 9 rumours and renders floating around the Internet, HMD Global seems all set to release an average priced smartphone into the market. HMD will be slowly covering almost all price bracket possible for releasing their smartphones.

The company is rumoured to launch its cheapest smartphone out to the market. Allegedly, Nokia 2 will be priced around $99 in the US. Nokia’s cheapest smartphone up to date was the Nokia 3 which was sold in the US for as less as $150, now with the launch of Nokia 2, that’s about to change.

The Nokia 2 is confirmed to release with the model number – TA-1035. As per leaks, the Nokia 2 is listed as a dual-Sim model will be available for retail at B&H for $99. The device will be launched in two colour variants, Black and white.

Talking about the display and specifications, Nokia 2 will be sporting a 5 inch HD display and is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 chipset. The chipset is clocked at 1.27 GHz. The smartphone will be having either 1GB or 2GB Ram. As of now, there has been no statement on the amount of storage, but I think it’ll be no more than 32GB.

The device will be juiced up with a massive 4,000 mAh battery which surprisingly is more then what’s needed for a low budget device, guess HMD has some tricks up its sleeves. Nokia 2 will come with Android Nougat 7.1.1 out of the box. Some leaks show us that there are three on-screen buttons. A volume rocker and a power button on the right side of the device. Nokia 2 will sport an 8 Mega-Pixel rear sensor and a 5 Mega-Pixel front camera, of course, you can’t have dual cameras at this price range.

Recent leaks also show us that the Nokia 2’s design is quite similar to that of the Nokia 3 except for the curved edges.

As of now, there are no updates on when and where the phone will be launched. For more details stay tuned to our website. What do you think of this smartphone? Will it be a hit? Let us know down below.
