Snapdragon 820 Will Fight Malware and New Smart Protect Feature
The next iteration of smartphones will spawn the better processor from Qualcomm, the new Snapdragon 820. The new processor will fight malware directly from your smartphone through your android system. Forwards, all the new iteration of smartphones will sports an app named “Smart Protect” which is specially developed in the Qualcomm Zeroth labs’ technology.
Qualcomm mentioned that the app won’t cause a huge effect over battery. The app will provide users an “instantaneous” notification to their respective devices whenever the app is able to detect some fishy happenings. Quoting exactly, heres what Qualcomm mentioned:
“support accurate and effective detection of zero-day malware threats for improved personal privacy and device security.”
Here’s another quote from what the director of product manager, Asaf Ashkenazi, at Qualcomm Technologies said:
“With consumers storing more personal information on their devices, data leakage incidents and malware are on the rise. Qualcomm Technologies is uniquely equipped to address these issues with our ability to access lower layers of the software stack and dedicated security hardware, to create a device-based, behavioral analysis approach for mobile security,”
