For years now, the Motorola Moto G-series of devices has remained outside of the realm and there are various reasons for that. For starters, they could not stand the competition, at least in countries like India. The Lenovo-owned company is expected to launch its next-generation Moto G-series devices soon. The codenames of the upcoming Moto G-series devices are Capri, Capri Plus, and Nio. Now, according to the recent report, Motorola has made changes to the branding of the upcoming Moto G devices.

This was first reported by TechnikNews. The G-series from Motorola will be converted into more like the Galaxy A-series by Samsung. That said, the upcoming Motorola Moto G devices will be rebranded to keep track of the rows. Meaning, after Moto G10, we get to see, Moto G20, Moto 30, Moto G40, and so on! As mentioned earlier, the company will launch three models. It is worth noting that the device which is codenamed “Nio” is already launched in China as Motorola Edge S. The same phone will enter various other markets as Moto G100. Not just that, the NBTC certification has revealed that the Capri Plus will be announced as Moto G30, and similarly, according to TechnikNews and Adam Conway, the Moto device that is codenamed “Capri” will be launched as Moto G10 in some regions and the same device is expected to launch in India as Moto G10 Power.

The company might also launch another device that is codenamed “Java” which is expected to be marketed as the Moto G20 which is expected to come with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of onboard storage. The list does not end there as the company is hiding another device under its sleeve that is codenamed “Ibiza” or “Denver” that will launch as Moto G40. To cut the confusion, Motorola Capri will launch as the Moto G10 and Moto G10 Power. Motorola Capri Plus will go official as Moto G30 and the Nio will be available as the Moto G100 whereas the Moto Java will launch as Moto G20. As mentioned earlier, Motorola Ibiza or Denver will launch as Moto G40.
