OnePlus‘ yet another affordable phone, the OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite launch in the global and Indian market has made a stir in the smartphone industry. The phone brings some massive upgrades over the Nord CE3 Lite and in fact, adopts features from standard Nord CE4. After a tonne of leaks and whatnot, we now have the official Nord CE4 Lite, and here’s what it brings to the table.
OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite Launched Globally
Speaking of the primary features, we have a 6.67” 1080 × 2400 pixels resolution OLED panel boasting a 120Hz refresh rate. Now that’s where OnePlus ditched the LCD panels on the predecessor to get a better visual experience. It also cracks the brightness to 1,200 nits of peak and 2,100 nits of local brightness which is just insane compared to 680 nits on last year’s CE 3 Lite.
Moving on, the global and Indian Nord CE4 Lite variants have varied battery specs. The Indian version gets a 5,500mAh battery compared to the 5,110mAh battery on the global version. Both the variants pack in the same 80W fast charging tech capable of juicing up a 5,500mAh battery in just 52 minutes giving you an insane backup for sure.
The European version doesn’t have a charger in the box as it is limited to the Indian variant that comes with a USB A to C cable.
OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite is same but different
Under the hood, OnePlus has surprisingly used the same chipset from CE3 Lite — the Snapdragon 695. It is paired with 128/256GB UFS 2.2 storage and 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. Although we are moving ahead in terms of nomenclature, these specs are awfully the same as Nord CE2 and CE3 Lite.
On the optics front, there’s a 50MP Sony LYT-600 snapper at the back with OIS, a major downturn from using a 108MP snapper on the CE3 Lite. We have a 2MP auxiliary depth shooter as well although as you might already tell, it is just there. Finally, we have a 16MP selfie unit for stable video recording although there are no changes as such.
Other specifications that have been molded as a part and parcel of Nord CE 4 Lite include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a microSD card slot, two years of Android OS upgrades plus three years of security support.
OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite Pricing in India and Globally
When it comes to pricing, the OnePlus Nord CE4 lite pegs a price tag of EUR330 for the single 8GB+256GB variant. However, if you get your hands on the device during the initial phase, you get it for EUR280 plus a pair of OnePlus Nord Buds 2 free with the purchase. Post-early bird period, the open sales begin on July 1st.
In India, the Nord CE4 Lite pegs a price tag of INR 21,000/- for the base 8+128GB variant while the higher variant with 8+256GB storage is at INR 24,000/-. The early bird offer is available in India as well offering INR 1,000/- of instant discount on the price tag on using OneCard and ICICI Bank credit cards.
