A closer look at the Samsung Galaxy Z trifold prototype
The video, posted by SBS Korea, shows the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold in its full glory as spotted at the APEC Summit, neatly packed in a glass enclosure.
The video shows the phone from various angles. The video grab shows how Samsung has fashioned its triple-folding phone with a dual-hinge mechanism. It looks almost as wide as a finger when folded completely, packing in a lot of bulk. However, one must understand that this is basically three phones nearly tucked into one, along with the folding mechanisms, so that’s commendable.
When unfolded, the phone looks remarkably thin, and that’s pretty much what people want. In fact, we are seeing a 10-inch display on-board once unfolded, giving it a massive screen real estate for viewing content, gaming, and beyond. The South Korean giant is using the same principle as Galaxy Z Fold 7 but with a dual-hinge mechanism. One can see the position of the hinges as well.
