News around the Oppo Find N6 is already turning heads, potentially weeks ahead of its launch. Turns out the phone, heading for its launch in China, could launch on March 17, and the posters have already come out, of course, in Chinese. Here’s what we know about Find N6 so far, including the most-awaited ‘crease-less foldable display.’
Oppo Find N6 is gearing up to become the first ‘crease-less foldable phone’
Oppo (China) took it to Weibo to tease the upcoming foldable flagship phone, aka the Oppo Find N6. The poster says “smooth sailing”—a potential highlight that the phone’s foldable display will indeed have no creases.
For ages, foldable phones have been battling with creases, which are almost imminent if not apparent. Apple is expected to roll out a crease-free foldable phone by the end of this year (take it with a grain of salt); however, it seems Chinese OEM Oppo is already far ahead. The Find N6 is heading for its home country on March 17, or less than a month from today.
Posters showcasing Find N6’s humongous primary foldable display with a horse running on it and the tagline “Smooth Sailing” are a hint that Oppo has found a way to make the display crease-free. Now that’s a big claim since foldable displays are prone to creases, although a shallow crease is much appreciated, and Oppo is likely heading that way.
Oppo Find N6 specs (rumored)
Based on previous reports, Oppo Find N6 specs detail an 8.12” 2K AMOLED LTPO foldable display panel with a 1Hz-120Hz variable refresh rate. The secondary outer display is 6.62” in size with an FHD+ AMOLED LTPO panel with an adaptive refresh rate.
No doubt Oppo Find N6 will bring a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 SoC under the hood. We have 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage as the entry-level variant, plus 16GB + 1TB for a high-end variant. There’s also news around a special edition bringing Beidou satellite communication as well.
On the camera front, we have a rumored 200MP primary cam (or it could be a telephoto) alongside two other cameras. On the outer display, we could get a 20MP shooter instead of 8MP, which should ultimately improve imaging quality.
Oppo Find N6 battery specs are likely to be pegged at a 2700 + 3150mAh dual-cell design with at least 80W wired and 50W wireless charging setup.
