POCO has officially confirmed that the POCO X8 Pro series will launch in India and global markets on March 17. The new lineup will include two smartphones, the POCO X8 Pro and the POCO X8 Pro Max 5G. The new models are expected to come with upgraded performance and large battery capacities in POCO’s X-series lineup.
POCO X8 Pro series design
POCO shared a teaser image that gives an early look at the design of the smartphones. The POCO X8 Pro appears in a white color option, while the POCO X8 Pro Max is shown in black. Both devices feature a metal frame and a dual rear camera setup, suggesting a simple and premium design.
MediaTek Dimensity processors confirmed
POCO Global has confirmed that the upcoming smartphones will use new MediaTek Dimensity processors. The POCO X8 Pro will be powered by the Dimensity 8500 Ultra, while the POCO X8 Pro Max will feature the Dimensity 9500s chipset. According to the company, these models will be the first smartphones in India to use these processors.

The POCO X8 Pro may feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device is also expected to include a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a 20-megapixel front camera.
The phone could come with an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance. Reports suggest the global variant may include a 6500mAh battery with 100W fast charging, while the Indian version might get a larger 7560mAh battery.
