Vivo X500 Pro camera leak ahead of launch
Tipster Digital Chat Station shared the latest Vivo X500 Pro camera specs leak on Weibo. It hints that the phone will pick up a 50MP primary 1/1.28” sensor with LOFIC support plus a 50MP ultra-wide snapper on-board. There’s also a 64MP 1/2-inch periscope telephoto on-board capable of reaching 3x optical zoom. It remains to be seen if Vivo uses the IMX06H snapper on board the X500 Pro as per the tipster or switches to the OmniVision OV64B sensor, which is more popular.
Moving ahead, we know the phone will pick up the Dimensity 9600 SoC fabbed on a 2nm process. With that, the X500 Pro is undoubtedly a flagship phone releasing in time for the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 series launching this October as well. It will be a great sight to behold given the fact that Qualcomm has always held the baton for the most powerful chipsets when compared with HiSilicon, MediaTek, Samsung, etc.

Although DCS rolls out leaks suggesting the camera specs, we have to take it with a pinch of salt. Similarly, it is still too early to comment on other specs as well. Reports suggest the phone will bring a 6.37” flat OLED LTPO panel boasting a resolution of 1.5K pixels.
Vivo X500 Pro reportedly packs in a massive 7,000mAh battery and will run on Android 17-powered OriginOS 7. As far as the release date is concerned, the flagship phone is likely to arrive in September or October (probably in China), followed by a global launch in November or December this year.
