Huawei is all set to unveil its latest Huawei Mate 40 series of smartphones. This series is not new to us anymore as we have seen loads of leaks and rumours in the recent past. Now, the Huawei Mate 40 Pro has been spotted on the NBTC certification site recently which helps us connect the dots between several other certifications the device was spotted on.

The Huawei Mate 40 Pro was first spotted by MySmartPrice on the NBTC Certification site. According to the Certification image, the device carries a model number of Huawei NOH-NX9. The device, like any other recent launches, will be a 5G compatible device out of the box. The NBTC Certification site did not reveal anything else around the device.

The folks at MySmartPrice did a little more digging and found out that the Mate 40 Pro has already appeared on the Bluetooth SIG certification website and the EEC certification site as well. This also suggest to us that there are chances for the Mate 40 series of devices to go global as well. Sadly, none of these certification sites haven’t revealed anything around the specifications of the device.

Although most of the previous reports suggested us that the Huawei’s new flagship will not be launched this year, Richard Yu, CEO of the company’s Consumer Business Group has assured that the next-generation Mate Flagship will be launched soon. This new series will be sold only in China initially and they are online exclusive. The company has earlier confirmed that the Mate 40 would probably be its last phone to feature a proprietary chip, due to a series of US bans which have impacted Huawei’s relationship with its suppliers.

According to a recent report, Huawei has cut component orders for the Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro by 30 Percent. If this continues, the sales could probably fall to 75 per cent of current levels by next year if the restrictions are not lifted. After the US Ban, Huawei”s global appeal has also taken a serious hit and it also does not help that some of the European countries have backed off from using its 5G Gear because of the pressure from the United States. As far as the Indian market is concerned, due to the current tensions between China and India, it is not very optimal either as it has reportedly already downscaled its Indian operations massively.
