- Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 series and Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is launching earlier next week and here, we have key specs leaked ahead of time.
- Samsung is switching from an Exynos chip to Snapdragon Elite Wear SoC that will bring better performance and power efficiency on-board.
- There's also a massive increase in battery size on the Watch Ultra2 from 590mAh on the original to 800mAh, if rumors are true.
We are barely ten days away from the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event, and now we have our hands on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 specs. This isn’t the first time we are hearing about the duo—Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra2. As we are inching closer to the launch, leaks have intensified, even from reputable sources that corroborate previous leaks.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 specs include a next-gen chipset
According to the folks at WinFuture, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 series and Watch Ultra2 will bring notable changes, and the first is its choice of chipset. Turns out the phone could drop Exynos chipsets and instead will latch onto the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite SoC fabbed on a 3nm node.
Replacing the in-house-fabricated chipsets with Qualcomm’s brings the smartwatches better performance and power efficiency, and possibly this could be the reason behind the alleged massive upgrade.
We will also see 2GB of RAM across all the models plus either 32GB or 64GB of storage. Of course, having various storage configurations with the upcoming Watch 9 series is plausible as well.
Another upgrade that Samsung fans will see is the battery pack, at least when it comes to the larger 44mm variant. For perspective, the 40mm Watch 9 will see the same old 325mAh battery pack, whereas the 44mm variant brings a 445mAh battery (compared to the 44mm Watch 8’s 435mAh battery pack).
Of course, it isn’t a massive upgrade; however, it is surely a punch upwards given the minute sizes of these devices, and having even a droplet in the battery juice makes a lot of difference. Finally, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 could bring an 800mAh battery pack as per leaked specs, a 35% increase compared to the original Ultra that had a 590mAh battery pack.

There’s a price hike in the pipeline as well
Well, the upcoming smartwatches are expected to be a bit pricier as well. We are talking about the Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 that could cost EUR 409 for the 40mm variant (as opposed to EUR 369 on the Watch8). The large 44mm Wi-Fi variant will be EUR 459, while the LTE variant will set you back at around EUR 489. The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 with LTE will set you back at EUR 749, a EUR 50 higher price tag than the original Watch Ultra.
Of course, we will have to wait a tad bit more to get the official pricing; however, the aforementioned price tags appear legitimate.
Watch out for this space as we bring more news on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch 9 key specs, Watch Ultra2, and the entire portfolio of devices launching at the second Unpacked 2026 event on July 22.
