Xiaomi launched the Mi Max 2 back in mid-2017 and the Mi Max 3 is expected to launch later this year, and a new leak has provided some details regarding the specifications of the device. The leak went online on Weibo, and it suggests that the Mi Max 3 will sport a 6.99-inch full HD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) display, which is expected, but this time the display will have the 18:9 aspect ratio.
In 2017 itself, some of the phones came out with displays having that aspect ratio and now in 2018, this is going completely mainstream and the Mi Max 3 is not an exception. The leak also suggestes that the Mi Max 3 will come with a dual camera setup on the back, which if turns out to be true, will be a step that the community will welcome for sure.
The Mi Max 3 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 635 chipset, coupled with 3GB or 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, and 64GB or 128GB of onboard storage. The fingerprint sensor will be placed on the back of the smartphone due to thin bezels on the front and the phone will be packing a huge 5500mAh battery that supports reverse charging and will have Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. However, an earlier report suggested that the Mi Max 3 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor.
The latest leak suggests that the phone will be launched in June this year and in terms of pricing, the phone will start retailing at 1,699 Yuan, or Rs. 16,900. Apart from these few things, nothing else is known yet. Probably we will know more as Xiaomi prepares to lunch it in June.
