The OnePlus 5 is the hottest device in the smartphone segment at the moment. The flagship killer is just about to be launched by June and the internet is already filled with a number of leaks about the phone. The latest one comes from the company’s founder himself, and the leak confirms an alleged feature.
In an Instagram Story posted by Carl Pei, the OnePlus founder posted an image of a phone with dual camera setup. A couple of screenshots from the post were made available on Slashleaks, as the Stories are short lived on the social media platform.
OnePlus 5 being the next phone that is expected from the company, it is quite safe to say that the images are most probably of the device itself. We had earlier posted some pictures that were taken from the OnePlus 5 and our initial analysis showed that the phone indeed uses its dual cameras to manage that depth element.
The images made available through Carl Pei’s post, the dual camera setup gets confirmed. Both the images are quite blurry, probably because of being taken from a video. Despite being blurry, a white colored phone is visible in both the images with a horizontally placed dual camera units.
India Today had reported an image of a phone that they confirmed to be the upcoming OnePlus 5. The image was quite clear and the OnePlus logo was visible on the back along with vertically placed dual camera units. It later turned out that the images weren’t genuine and the camera setup would be horizontal instead, which is confirmed by the today’s leak.
In terms of specifications, we’re expecting everything to be top of the line. The OnePlus 5 would come powered by a Snapdragon 835 processor along with 6GB/8GB of RAM. as mentioned above; there would be a dual camera setup with each camera unit sporting 16MP resolution. There would be a battery of 3600mAh with Dash Charge 2.0 and will run the latest Android version out of the box.
