A screenshot of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 7 has surfaced online that reveals a ton of information about the phone. In line with what was already expected, the phone would come running the latest Snapdragon 845 processor. Apart from this, some major changes are made to the phone’s hardware that already make it much better than its predecessor Mi 6.
Xiaomi will be bringing an 18:9 panel to its 2018 flagship and as per the screenshot, the display would measure 5.6 inches diagonally. The resolution mentioned in the screenshot is 2160 x 1080. With the top-end processor included in the device, 8 GB RAM + 128 GB ROM will come bundled along with dual 16 MP cameras on the back. The battery capacity gets a major bump on Mi 7 to 4480 mAh from 3350 mAh on its predecessor.
The screenshot also shows the software version that the phone is running, which is MIUI 8.1.30x. This could be the developer version of Xiaomi’s interface that is running on the device, while the stable version is the MIUI 9. Nevertheless, the OS build is quite a recent one and we might not be far from the official launch..

However, the Mi 7 was supposed to be announced at the MWC 2018 later this months but due to some reasons, that won’t happen anymore. Instead, Xiaomi might launch the Mi MIX 2s that should take the bezel-less game to the next level. Xiaomi should launch the Mi 7 quite soon; some reports suggest the timeframe to be around April.
