Nokia 5 Goes On Sale with a Bunch of Offers for Rs. 12499

The Finnish brand had announced a few devices earlier this year and they are being slowly rolled out globally. Nokia 5 went on sale in India today and is the second Nokia Android phone to be available for purchase in the country. Besides all the features and specifications it carries, the phone will also be accompanied by a handful of offers.

First of all, you will have to go by the old way and visit a store near you to get the Nokia 5. Unlike Nokia 6, the company hasn’t partnered with any online retailer to make it officially available online. Nokia 3, the lower end Nokia phone, also followed the same strategy and was made available only through offline channels.

Nokia 5 sits between the Nokia 6 and Nokia 3 both in terms of features and pricing. It sports 5.2-inch 720p display and has a premium build with an aluminum unibody design. A fingerprint scanner sits right below the display and the phone comes powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor along with 2GB RAM and 16GBGB internal storage.

As the company had promised, the phone comes preloaded with the latest version of Android 7.1.1 and the company will push the latest Android versions as and when they are made available by Google. Recently, the August security patch for Nokia smartphones alongside the Nexus and Pixel phones. Nokia has also confirmed that the upcoming Android O update will also be made available to the entire line up.

You will get dual-SIM capabilities along with the support for 4G VoLTE. A 13MP camera is on the back of the device along with dual-LED flash and an 8MP sensor is there on the front with a wide-angle lens. The battery capacity of the phone is 3000mAh.

Nokia 5 will be available in Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue, and Copper color options. It will go on sale for Rs. 12,499 across all major offline stores. With the purchase of the phone, the Vodafone customers will get 5GB data pack at a special price of Rs. 149 for three months. Besides this, the buyers will also get Makemytrip.com coupons worth Rs. 2500 (Rs. 1800 on hotels and Rs. 700 on domestic flights).
