All set for the upcoming September 7th Apple Far Out launch event? Well, it appears as if there will be a slightly longer list of products that will be launched during the event. The latest to add to the already extensive potential catalog is the second-gen Apple AirPods Pro 2. Let’s see what the buzz is all about.

AirPods Pro 2 could launch at Far Out too

According to Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter on Bloomberg, the Cupertino-based giant is likely to launch AirPods Pro 2 at the Far Out event as well. It will be presented alongside iPhone 14 series and Apple Watch Series 8, confirms Gurman.

The original Apple AirPods Pro was launched in 2019 which warrants a much-needed upgrade in terms of specifications. The charging case is likely to receive a MagSafe wireless charging upgrade allowing users to charge the case using the MagSafe setup. The AirPods Pro 2 is likely to get Spatial Audio along with an H2 SoC upgrade although it remains to be seen so take it with a pinch of salt.

Another likelihood of an upgrade is with the battery life. Original AirPods Pro is capable of 24 hours of audio playback plus an additional 18 hours of backup on the charging case. It remains to be seen just how big of an update the upcoming AirPods 2 will bring onboard.

When it comes to design, it is unlikely Apple will change it. There were rumors that Apple will get rid of the stem although its SoC and noise-canceling tech are fitted right into the stem which means it is not likely Apple will get rid of the stem as of now. Apart from that, the charging cases are possibly upgrading to USB Type-C for charging which will be a bold move. In fact, the entire Apple iPhone 14 series is speculated to make a switch from Lightning to USB Type-C although the former is a cash cow for Apple so we could say that the tech giant might not let it go scot-free.
