At the end of 2018, Apple will announce next-gen iPhones which are already started appearing in leaks and rumors. It seems like the brand is also working on refreshed MacBook and iPad lineups. In 2018, Apple might give us a product storm.
The American multinational technology company has registered a handful of new Mac and iPad with the ECC aka Eurasian Economic Commission, as reported by 9to5mac and macrumors.com and the French website Consomac. The Cupertino-based tech giant does not divulge any new hardware at WWDC 2018, instead, all the announcements were more focussed on the software side.
Apple’s upcoming MacBook and iPad line-up
Here’s the list of the Apple products that have been registered: there will be five MacBook’s with model numbers A1931, A1932, A1988, A1989, A1990 and five new iPads with model number A1876, A2013, A1934, A1979, A2014. Seeing the MacBook lineup, the model numbers suggest a new 13-inch MacBook Pro (A1988), a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (A1989), and a 15-inch MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (A1990). The first two, on the other hand, could be the refreshed 12-inch MacBook (A1931) and a MacBook Air replacement (A1932).
Apple owes the upgrade of the MacBook lineup for a long time. It was previously rumored by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo that the iPad Pro-2018 will be announced sometime in the third quarter of the year. Coming to the iPad models, it seems like the A1876 would be the iPad Mini 5, Vanilla iPad ( A1934), 10.5-inch iPad Pro (A1979), and the remaining would be the two 12.9-inch iPad Pro variants.
The new iPad cast is expected to follow the iPhone X in the design department and could feature FaceID, Slim Bezels, and faster processors. It’s been a long time since there is some refresh in the iPad lineup and this time it could be pretty drastic upgrades compared to the previous models. Talking more of the registry the MacBook’s models are running on macOS High Sierra and the iPad is running on iOS 11. If this happens this would be a little disappointing as the new cast is supposed to launch in the September and expected to be shipped with Apple’s latest macOS Mojave and iOS 12.
