Earlier on January 13, Apple released yet another incremental update labeled as iOS 15.2.1 for its iPhones and iPadOS 15.2.1 for, you guessed it right, iPads. Albeit the changelog isn’t too extensive, the update comes at a hefty size of 970MB although that will change based on which iPhone you are using.

Guessing by the changelog, this incremental update is mainly a bug fixer so don’t hope for any feature updates with it. The changelog reads an issue that triggers photos to not load on the Messages app when using an iCloud link. Perhaps the issue is no more. Apart from that, an issue triggering third-party CarPlay apps to not respond to input stimuli has been fixed as well.

If you are looking for more, that’s the end of the changelog the iOS 15.2.1 has brought on-board.

Apple pushes updates via OTA to a large number of devices at the same time. You must have received the OTA notification by now. If not, you can zoom into the Settings >> General >> Software Update and download the approx 1GB file for installation. A quick reboot will let the new incremental update settle into its place hopefully without causing many ripples in the “bugs world”.
