All-new Jio Phone 3 with 5″ Touchscreen is in works: Specifications, price, release date

If rumors are to be believed, a rumor is doing the rounds of the internet that Reliance Jio is working on the third-gen Jio Phone 3 that must be out as early as July this year. Reliance is an Indian telecom service provider that launched its first-ever ‘feature-packed’ feature phone “Jio Phone” back in 2017. Last year, it launched a 4G-enabled Jio Phone 2 with Blackberry-like QWERTY display and now, it is going all touch-screen.

Based on the report by BeetelBite, Jio Phone 3 will sport a 5-inch touch-screen display with 2GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage along with expandability functionality via microSD. The device will pack in a 5MP shooter at the back while a 2MP selfie shooter will be placed at the front.

If you are checking out for Jio Phone 3 price, it is around Rs 4,500/- which is a significant bump from Jio Phone (2017) price that was launched at just Rs 1,500/-. Reliance has been bumping both the prices and features with each generation such as the second-gen Jio Phone 2 was priced at Rs 2,999/- and now it’s the third-gen Jio Phone 3 set to fetch a price tag of Rs 4,500/- pr $63.

A Reliance executive who chose to be anonymous quoted that Reliance will start stocking up its offline stores as early as July 2019 whilst the customers will be able to place pre-orders. The deliveries will be made by August 2019. Jio Phone 3 will be available on the official Jio website, Reliance Digital stores and Jio stores all across India.

Reliance Jio Phones have become one of the fastest selling feature phones in India making it to the top 10 largest vendors in the country with over 1.3billion potential customers and counting. In fact, Jio SIMs have become one of the largest telecom carriers in India providing top-notched 4G services and that’s all at cost-effective pricing.
