Asus held a virtual launch event “ Create The Uncreated” on Thursday. At the event, it launched a tonne of new laptops across multiple lineups each targeting ‘content creators’ and thus, rich with OLED screens and the latest Ryzen 5000 and Intel 11th-Gen chipsets. Here’s more about the whole lineup of laptops Asus announced at the event.
Asus ProArt Studiobook 16, Studiobook Pro 16 Specifications & Pricing
The first to arrive on the list is the Asus ProArt Studiobook 16 and Pro 16, both are specially designed to keep content creators in mind. Both the laptops offer a high-octane 16-inch 4K OLED HDR panel with 3840×2460 pixels resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. According to the specs sheet available, the panel is rated with 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut and has a Delta E of less than 2 (ΔE<2). The display has been rated with up to 550 nits of brightness as per Calman and Pantone certifications.
Moving on, Asus has made sure that both the models are super performance under the hood as well. The ProArt Studiobook 16 series comprises both Ryzen 5000 series and Intel 11th-Gen CPUs while Nvidia takes care of the GPU. As it goes, the non-pro variant has a Ryzen 9 5900Hx or 11th-Gen Intel Core i9-11900H processor paired with up GeForce 3070 GPUs. On the other hand, Studiobook Pro 16 features up to Nvidia RTX A5000 GPU and a 3rd-gen Intel Xeon workstation chipset on board.
Both the laptops are packed with Asus IceCool Pro Thermal solution that uses up to 140W in performance and up to 110W in normal operating mode. There’s a physical DialPad too that you can use to work on After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Photoshop.
The models offer up to 64GB 3200 MHz DDR4 RAM as well as 4x PCIe 3.0 or 4.0 SSDs on-board. You get 2 USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a single Thunderbolt 4 port, an HDMI 2.1, an SD Express 7.0 card reader, and two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports. Both the laptops have bottom-firing loudspeakers with DTS support and are tuned by Harmon Kardon.
With the ProArt Studiobook 16 series, the Taiwanese brand has also launched ProArt mouse, an OLED monitor, and other products.
The pricing for ProArt Studiobook commences at $1999.99 and it will hit the shelves by December 2021 while the Pro variant goes on sale at $2,499.99.
Asus Vivobook Pro 14X/ 16X and Vivo 14/15 Specifications & Pricing
Another lineup of laptops that Asus has launched is the Vivobook Pro 14X/ 16X and Vivobook 14/15.
Talking about the Vivobook Pro 14X/ 16X first, both the laptop models are equipped with up to 4K HDR OLED displays with Asus Dialpad. As the name suggests, Pro 14X is a 14-inch laptop while the 16X has a 16-inch display. The Pro X16 is the world’s first-ever 16-inch 4K OLED 16:10 HDR display according to Asus.
Further, both the models are lightweight with 1.45Kgs for the 14-inch variant. The keyboard mounted on both models features a dual-tone design with a bright orange-accented Esc key.
There are AMD and Intel chipsets on-board which include 5th-Gen AMD Ryzen 5000 H-series and 11th-Gen Intel Core H-series processors paired alongside up to GeForce RTX 3050Ti GPU. There’s 1TB of storage, 32GB of RAM, up to 96Wh battery, and more.
The pricing for Vivobook Pro 14X commences at EUR1099 and the units will be available in early 2022. The Pro 16X variant is available at a starting price of EUR1,399 and it will hit the shelves by December this year.
The Vivobook 14 and 15 laptops are curtailed to 2.8K OLED panels at the max with up to 2880×1800 resolutions. There are multiple trims available under the VivoBook 14 and 15 series without any doubt. The processor lineup remains the same as you get to choose between the Intel or the AMD processor and pair it up to GeForce RTX 3050 GPUs.
The Vivobook 14 OLED commences at EUR749 while the pricing for Vivobook 15 OLED commences at EUR1099 and it will be available in December in the UK.
Asus Zenbook 14X and Zenbook 14 Flip OLED Specifications & Pricing
Asus launched the Zenbook 14X/ 14 Flip OLED as well which is equipped with powerful specifications for content creators and more. Both the models are equipped with 14-inch OLED HDR panels boasting slim bezels, 16:10 aspect ratio, a combination of Ryzen 5000 H-series, and Intel 11th-Gen H-series CPUs that you can choose from the various trims available under the lineup.
