One thing that we have known from years is that the Apple Macbooks are known to be the best when it comes to performance and design while the software is a matter of personal choice because some like macOS while others hate it. Now, it is also known that Macbooks using Intel chips give better performance due to the cohesiveness between hardware and software compared to Windows laptops. Although the Apple laptops have been criticized lately due to its keyboard issues, they have mostly been fixed this year onwards.

Having said that, there was a complaint from MacBook users who said that their laptops fans were behaving quite weird and that they were producing too much noise. Also, it was said that the performance was also getting hindered as they were getting too hot. Now, the explanation to this is the typical “you are doing it wrong”. Basically, it was later reported that Macbooks have a tendency to behave differently when charged differently.

You might be aware that Apple Macbooks have USB Type-C ports on both sides and you can charge your Macbook from either of them. However, as it turns out, there is a right way of charging the device and also a wrong way. One user found out that if you charge your Macbook from the left side, it will result in noisy fans as well as lower performance. On the other hand, if you charge the Macbook from the right-side port then the performance will be much better and the fans will also remain quiet.

However, it is also found out that it only happens when you are charging your Macbook from the left side while also connecting another peripheral device such as a dongle, USB drive or something else on the same side. If you are only charging the device, you can do it from either side. But if you are using the left-side port for something else, you should charge the laptop from the right side.

At the moment, this issue is only found on 15-inch MacBook Pro 2017 and the 16-inch MacBook Pro 2019 for unknown reasons. If you are using either of these Macbooks, make sure to charge the laptop from the right side port to be on the safe side.
