Spy shots of something upcoming are fairly common in the tech world. Huawei’s upcoming P40 is one of the most heavily rumored smartphones scheduled to arrive in France on March 26. With that being said, a row of photos have surfaced on the internet giving a sneak look into what we assume is an actual Huawei P40 in the wild. Originally posted by leakster Digital Chat on Weibo, the live images of alleged Huawei P40 have already caught a lot of eyeballs.

It is clear that the phone has a curved display i.e. a waterfall display or Huawei might name it as Quad-Curve Overflow as the name it has recently trademarked. This means that the phone is curved from all four sides, unlike Mate 30 Pro of which, the sides are clearly visible to have a steep curve while the protective case has covered the top of the phone where a gist of curves can be spotted with it.

The live images also showcase that the phone will have a dual-punch hole camera at the back while the rear camera assembly is concealed under a well-protection phone protective case. However, one might assume why there are two flaps covering the top of the phone where the camera might be and well, it could be because there are two rows of camera hardware aligned which the company is trying to hide before its actual release in March.

Huawei is moving from duo flagship phones to a trio with P40 series where the third one will be Huawei P40 Pro Premium Edition while the usual P40 and P40 Pro are the other two. A reliable leakster @evleaks purported renders of the trio’s rear camera assembly which shows how P40 and P40 will have a quad camera setup while the Premium Edition will have a Penta-camera setup.

Talking about the optics specifications, The based Huawei P40 is likely to have a 52MP primary sensor with a 40MP cine camera and an 8MP telephoto and a 17mm ultra-wide-angle camera. The Pro Premium variant will have a 3D sensor and a dedicated macro camera alongside a periscope telephoto lens with a 240mm focal length. The phone is slated to launch in Europe probably on March 26 and will be sold via traditional channels.
