Huawei is expected to announce the next Mate 30 & Mate 30 Pro in October this year. Well, we have just received a bunch of specs related to the Mate 30 Pro which is actually the first early look towards the upcoming smartphone so take it with a pinch of salt.
The Huawei Mate 30 Pro will feature certain exceptional features when compared to its predecessor Mate 20 Pro. Starting with the display, it will sport a large 6.71-inch AMOLED display from BOE that will have an in-display fingerprint scanner. Furthermore, the device will be equipped with the upcoming Kirin 985 SoC manufactured using an efficient and performance enthralling 7nm process. As we are entering the 5G era, the Mate 30 Pro will hail the feature using its Balong 5G modem although there will be a 4G variant available as well.
Proceeding further, just as P30 Pro moved from its original triple-camera array fitted with P20 Pro to a quadruple camera setup, Mate 30 Pro will witness the same but improved quadruple camera setup probably arranged in a 2×2 square resembling the camera bump of Mate 20 Pro with a flash LED at the middle of the four sensors. According to the sources, the four sensors will be ultra-wide, telephoto, regular, and a 3D ToF setup but we don’t know much about it as of now. On the contrary, it will have a single front camera setup either in an iPhone X-like notch or Huawei could proceed with other technologies available to place the camera such as pop-up mechanism or a waterdrop-shaped notch.
The most interesting aspect that we will get to see with the Huawei Mate 30 Pro will be its ginormous 4,200 mAh battery coupled with the improved 55W fast wired charging speed which is way too fast and could possibly charge the battery to its full extent in less than half an hour. The device will also support wireless charging and reverse charging upto 10W as it currently supports 5W in all supported Huawei smartphones.
Based on the timeline Huawei has been following with the launch of Mate series, it seems as if Huawei will announce the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro in October this year. Remember that this is the early first look at the latter, there will be a tonne of news regarding both the devices that we will showcase here on True-Tech.
